I closed every other tab just so I could concentrate on writing my freshest post ever here on WordPress. I’ve been struggling with focus, and I know writing, even just once a week, could help me fix this.
Hello everyone. I’m Lois. I figured I needed an outlet to write my thoughts out, and maybe the community here online could help me and give me a welcome drink 😅
I used to be on another WordPress site. I started in December 2024. It kind of had a 10-month life until I closed it, for some reason. Then I opened another one. I feel I need a platform to write all the fog inside my brain. I have a lot of thoughts running in my head, but it’s weird that when I finally sit down at my keyboard, I go blank. Darn.

They say it’s writer’s block. Or maybe it’s just the stress eating me out. I don’t know. I remember my artistic director back in theater telling me: The best way to deal with artist block, when you don’t have anything to write, is to write. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.
I also want to point out my relationship with social media and my struggle with scrolling. Even though I’ve already fixed my algorithm away from people I don’t want updates from, I still find myself stuck. Now I like what I’m seeing from brands and companies, and I have difficulty stopping the screen from rolling.
For that, I’m grateful another part of the internet exists. Perhaps this time, I can write my thoughts out, especially my imperfect life and the inner workings of my brain. That way, I can fix a little bit of my focus. Apart from that, I also plan to stay offline. It’s very difficult, I know. But I want to try reading for long stretches again, like I used to. I need activities that require my full attention and that I can retain for a longer period of time.
I hope I can.
What are your struggles, and what’s your exit plan to a new version of you?
In progress,
Lois
